I have some windshield time in my work life so recently I have been listening to some audio books. The three I have been listening to.

1) One Second After by William R. Forstchen

2)
Patriots: A Novel of Survival in the Coming Collapse by James Wesley Rawles

3)
The Overton Window by Glen Beck

Each has its own turn of events that tell the story of the destruction of the country.
I do not wish for any of the things in either book to happen, however I enjoyed them because they made me think about a lot of things. For example what would I do in the situations presented in the books, am I prepared, and how would I take care of my family.

I have always been very into being prepared, but I have a renewed vigor for it. I love our country and hope that we can get it headed in a better direction without some major calamity or national disaster. But for now I think it is important to prepare ourselves for tough times, and give ourselves the knowledge needed to survive and build up our country.

Thanksgiving Day Laugh

My family had the opportunity to deliver meals to less fortunate families in our area on thanksgiving. When we were bringing the meals out to our truck (the red one in the background) I noticed this car and I just had to laugh! Yes this is a smart car with chains! Looking at it I discovered that it was a front wheel drive smart car with chains, on the back tires. As I was trying hard to control my laughter I had to step quietly away from the car because the owner was approaching. The owner was a Yong girl probably not over 21 and two of her friends. They had a guy with them and as I pieced things together it seemed they were explaining to him that they put the chains on and it drove worse. Then the guy removed the chains from the back tires. I had to laugh at the whole situation. I'm not going to draw any conclusions about women drivers, smart cars, or even the people who drive them; I'm going to leave that up to you.

Fishing trip April 17th

Bubba and I decided that we would take grandpa for a fishing trip last Saturday.

Although the fish were not trophy fish we still had lots of fun! Bubba is quite interested in the fish.

I guess he needed a closer look!

Bubba really liked petting the fish. We had about three on the stringer and he would say I want to pet the fish. So I would pull them out and he would pet them and then say ok put them back. Them a couple min would go buy and we would need to do it all over again.

It was a fun to watch Bubba get excited when he would catch a fish. Buy the way Bubba did catch the biggest fish! Thanks for going fishing Grandpa.
